A planting plan is the a diagram of your new garden, showing which plant goes where. Plants are carefully chosen to suit your soil, microclimate, desired care level and the aesthetic style for your garden. Unless instructed otherwise, I always design planting which offers year-round food sources for wildlife, such as nectar, berries band fruit.
Some clients have existing planting that we work with, others may have a newly built site which is more or less empty. You may have a cherished shrub you received as a cutting from a loved one. Maybe you've seen a plant at a show and have taken a fancy to it. Planting is co-designed so that we hit the sweet spot of enough interest to get you into the garden everyday, but not that you feel enslaved with the work required to keep it looking good.
To start the ball rolling, I provide a planting mood board using Shoot Gardening , which allows us to share and compare the plants we like and can evolve the list until we are happy. From there, I develop a plan which shows the position of the plants and their respective quantities.
Where required, I can draw up how these plants will look in your garden too.
You can purchase and install the plants yourself using the plan and plant list, or I can provide additional support with supply and install. You may also be interested in an ongoing membership to Shoot to provide plant care advice and monthly email reminders.
